The Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzondimma finally opens up on the killing in Orlu LGA involving the Nigerian Army and the Newly formed Eastern Security Network
This afternoon, the news of a clash between the Nigerian Army Force and the newly formed Eastern Security Network broke into the internet and has gained several criticism from Nigerians due to killings, destroyed properties and causalities that happened.
The clash allegedly started as a beer parlour argument between the Nigerian Army and three Men who had to defend themselves by injuring one of the Army officers who happened to be the Captain. The Army officers shot at one of them and killed him instantly. They further stormed Orlu LGA assaulting whoever they meet on the way and shooting sporadically, but the Eastern Security Network was on ground to counter them which led to a shooting spray.
The Governor of Imo State has then released a Press Statement regarding the issue sending condolences to the affected families and pledging that, those involved would be brought to judgement. See the statement below;
